Modern Vespa

So could someone please help me find the correct parts that are needed to replace the front steering bearings on my 500? All of them. Since the guys at my shop apparently haven't a clue (after taking 20 days to get the WRONG parts in), Id like to order them myself.

Looking at the diagram in the workshop manual and cross checking them with the parts listed on the ATHENS SCOOTER Co website, I come up with part part numbers;

BEARING
39 - 6007705-39 $85.18

BEARING
41 - 6471835-41 $85.18

Can anyone please verify if these are the correct parts needed for the job and if not, what is?

after looking at the parts diagram and depending on whats wrong with your scoot. I would order #48,#16,#41,and #39. this would do the center steering tube and both left and right steering /control tubes.

I have been following your other (original) thread and now this one - man this whole thing sucks. Why is it we more often than not get yet more grief and insult after the failure of warranteed materials that are not our fault? These bikes cost enough that we should be treated considerably better by the manufacturer and dealers...imho.

I hope you get this situation handled soon, and to your satisfaction, and you get enough riding under your belt to start to make the memories of this fade... You sure have every right to be PO'd at the dealer and the mechanics.

You won't need the centre (headstock) steering tube bearings - they never have any load on them, so won't get damaged.

Those prices sound very high though.
