Got my FACO crash bars today and would like to have any insights from someone that's put these on a GTV already.

I looked at the thread concerning the GT 200 bars and my bars don't look like those. Although the bracket does go over the water pump hose area.

TIA

I will be posting pics of my crashbar install on my GTS 300 later on tonight.
I had followed most of the directions for the current posting, but found that my mounting brackets were different. And I had some additional issues with respect to bolt lengths, etc.

I had gotten it from Scooterwest as 'premium European rear crash bars'.

Didn't need help after all.

Only took about 20 minutes to install the bars after I figured out which bracket went on which side. The instructions were more confusing than helpful.

A very easy install.
Take out the front screw holding the lower cowl.
Unscrew the bolt at the back end.
Pop off the lower cowl.
Take the top screw out at the front end.
Put on the bracket with that screw.
Put lower cowl back on.
Put the bolt that comes with the kit thru the front bracket and bar to hold it up.
Put the back end of the bar on the bolt that holds the lower cowl.
Put the bolt back that holds the rear of the cowl and now the bar.
Tighten everything up.

Pictures to follow.

The only problem I had was re-installing the right lower cowling. The middle tab at the front didn't want to go in. I had to file the opening just a little bigger to get it back in. I think the bracket was holding it out just enough to make it difficult to replace.

Faco Bracket & Bar install GTV
Here's the FACO bracket. The slot I had to file is the middle one.
