Wanted to let everyone know ... i'm still updating my site with tidbits and such... and i've been digitizing a bunch of the charts of vespa paint codes available by year and by vehicle serial number. Those should be up on the site shortly, to help service exactly what was the right paint for your bike. Just an attempt to compile lots of information into one place to aid in the process.

I've gotten a couple people already asking for paint / codes, and that's good. One yesterday was from Peru!

But i have all the chroma-scan readouts in my possession right now from my local paint shop and can immediately respond to your request with a formula now.

They look like this :

Very cool of you to put this together. Had you done this 3 months ago, I most likely would have hit you up for the paint code on my P. I am quite happy with my birght white pearl paintjob though.

Yes, i have it.

And i could mail you spray cans if you want. It's going to cost you about $45-50 a can.

I can't get paint in a rattle can for under $30 per can. Then i have to ship it to you. And i'll add on $5.00 or something for my trouble.

It's probably more worth it if you just buy the $10 code off of me, then go to your local paint shop and mix up the can yourself.

Eric,

Regarding the aluminum color in spray cans, how do you mix the reducer and hardener ? Is it already mixed and then if it is what is the shelf life of the can ?

You know how spray paint never really sets up totally? It always seems to have that sticky tack about it to some extent ( at least for a very long time ) ?

I think they use a limited amount of hardener in spray cans to extend the lifespan, if i had to guess.

Old thread and I have not seen Eric active on the forum lately.

I know he is a member of the Rovers scooter club, you may want to ask around on this site and I am sure they can point you in the right direction.

http://www.rovers-usa.com/

Do a search on the forum site for paint codes, a member named Ginch has a thread but I did not see any for the P series, doesn't hurt to look.

https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic109005?highlight=paint+codes

You can also call one of our sponsors, Scooterwest aka Motorsports for the codes.

Good luck, post some pics if you can, may be some keen eye members can help you out.
