As for the Frogg Toggs, clearly they're a bit fragile and require careful handling. But as for the crotch-area leaks, couldn't a little seam sealer (as used on tents) fix that problem?
The thing I like about Toggs (I have a hoodie for hiking) is their breathability and coolness. The polyester rain clothes I have for riding get so hot that I end up almost as wet with sweat as I would have been if the rain had got me.
