I was browsing through some old photos and found some "documentary" photos of my old Piaggio Zip 50 scooter, so I thought I'll post them. This little scoot is my very first set of motorised wheels ever (and at a grand age of 29, too).
It's red, therefore it must be fast!
Look at that shiny plastic bits!
Frontal shot... not quite as classic as the Vespa but sporting a more modern, aggressive look
Rear brake and signal lights. The LED brake light is blindingly bright!
I like that little plastic bit that prevent things from falling out of the glove box when you open it... Modern 1, Classic 0.
Adjustable seat height! Modern 2, Classic 0...
A very simple dash. The scoot (stock) will never achieve 80 km/hr!
Nice little scoot you had there. It looks small but still larger than the Vino and Metropolitan.Have you seen those two? Lord their so tiny I'd swear they were made for 10 yr olds.
The 50cc scoots are fun,I always liked seeing the tourist ride a 50cc scoot for the first time. They couldn't believe how much fun they were.I believe several of em end up buying one of their own.
Oh yea, some of these 50cc machines are tiny. In a way that's part of the appeal I reckon... a cute little zippy (hopefully) machine. I can't imagine going 2-up on them!
I'm quite a fan of these 50cc scoots and they're really fun to ride. It just reminds me of the time when I first learnt to ride a bicycle and the feeling of freedom while riding it.
i have the same scooter and know nothing ....
what the little round thing under the headlight in pic two its on the left hand side of the bike and made from rubber ??? and whats the round thing above the glove box that opens in two ????

The round thing above the glove box that spilt into two - that's the grocery bag hanger. The little round thing under the headlight - I've no idea!
