Received my issue in the mail last night. Page 44 is a review of the MP3 Hybrid. Overall the reviewer was positive on the ride. A few points.

- In electrc only mode it tops out at 20 mph (achieved 26 down hill). Measured by optimistic speedometer? Only suitable where cars are not allowed.
- Described power as "near 250cc" when using both motors.
- Electric motor sticking out can lever rear wheel off the ground. Apparently one journalist found this out on the roundabout
- Rear wheel size is 140/60-12
- Zero storage under seat.
- Too expensive at 50% more cost than 250 MP3
- 3 of 5 stars.

With two motors we expect more bang for our (considerable) Hi Tech buck.

Great for environmental activists and image-conscious Prius driving movie stars. Not quite zippy enough for the rest of us.

No underseat storage is a killer. Scooters are made to carry stuff, not just a rider!

That's why you have racks on the front and the back, as well as a stepthruough to place things! Underseat storage, what's that?

The dealer had told me about the zero storage under the seat. That and the price were deal breakers for me. At 50% more than a regular 250 I would never be able to recoup on gas savings. Of course if you are only wanting to reduce your carbon footprint then there is no price on that. But if I were going to go for a hybrid it would have to be my car first - bigger carbon footprint than my scoot.

that's unfortunate. i got equivalent or even better EV-only performance out of the electric bicycle that i built. i feel better about going for the MP3 250 now.

/me sincerely does try to minimize his carbon footprint, including commuting to work for the last 9 years or so on bicycle and on foot this year.

hmm thats strange I heard the price would be about the same as the 250 since it has a 125cc.
