With everyone looking to ride safely, why is it they remove the turning

indicator pods from their scooters and change their lights to the lower

ones? Vespa put the indicators' at the same level as all MCs and further

spaced apart so cages can see them easley. The greater spacing helps

cages see your intentions better. I realize this is a personal option so I am

not passing judgment on anyone for doing it. Just asking!!

Not sure what you mean, I would say most people here are adding more to the scooter not taking away, maybe the question your asking could have been better answered in the same topic your referring too?

Vespa actually added those to comply with US law. Take notice that they are not on European models or US models with a wide enough leg shield to comply with the law. Many LX owners go with the Euro signal kit because they desire to have the stock look rather than those bug eyes. I can't wait to change mine.

I changed the one's on my wife's scooter. I think the larger lenses in the leg shield make them more visible in most situations. And, we prefer the cleaner look without the bolt on, stock lights.

for the US markets they had to put the "pods" on the 150s but on the 300s they don't have to have them because the blinkers are far enough appart for the DOT. i changed out my "pods" because it makes the bike have a cleaner appearance and also looks great when the blinkers are on. in my opinion the blinker in the back is the most important anyway at least you see what is in head of you with the front.

I've left my turn signal pods on my LX 150 because they are somewhat more obvious to others in traffic. I know the scooter would probably look better without them, but I felt that it helped with my safety a bit and as such didn't want to change them.

I switched out my pods for the Euro-kit because I didn't think the pods signals were very bright especially since they had smoked colored lenses. If I was behind a car with my signal on, I usually could not see it blinking in the reflection off the car in front of me. I feel the Euro-kit running lights and blinkers are much more visible. I am very happy with the mod.
