On my 2007 MP3 250 I can just fit my FF helmet in the pet carrier, but not enough to close the door -- am I missing something or did they build this just slightly too small for a helmet? It does go under the seat, but leaves little room for anything else. Thanks, Steve

Thanks, Steve i posted a thread detailing pricing on SHAD, Givi, Coocase, and the OEM topcases for the MP3 250/400 here: https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic46967?highlight= |

This has been covered before and I know its hard to believe, but if it fits under the seat, it will go in the pet carrier. I had a 3XL Fulmer and I could get it under the seat and in the carrier. It's "tricky" in the fact that you have to do it a certain way:
1. Make sure carrier is COMPLETELY empty and cleaned out. 2. Hold helmet upside down(with neck opening facing the sky). 3. "Scoop" the chin(facing away from you) under the top lip of the carrier. 4. Slide helmet(make sure helmet is closed if modular and all visors closed) up and under lip of carrier. Should close that way. I've met 3 people that couldn't fit theirs until I showed them this style. There are some that won't fit I suppose, but I've never personally found one...and I have a huge noggin. I have to special shop for large helmets. |
