If you can find 'em, do what I did... bought a whole set of switches from a salvage scooter being parted out for only $20 to keep around as spares.
Finicky switches can often be brought back to life with WD-40 and spray contact cleaner. Unfortunately, this doesn't work at all with ex-girlfriends. |

Hmm... thanks for the generous offer, but I think I need them. I've already used one to replace my turn signal switch, and my hi/lo beam switch is starting to act a little wonky. My scoot sits out in the weather all year long, and I'm sure that affects their longevity. We don't have a good dealer who stocks parts here in Annapolis, so I keep a personal stash of consumable parts. I gotta stop talking about it, as folks here keep wanting to buy them from me! Somehow I'm reminded of Aesop's fable of the Ant and the Grasshopper... ![]() ⚠️ Last edited by Silver Streak on UTC; edited 1 time

Re: LXV150 Switches
Starboard wrote: Any idea what they cost new? Do you miss living aboard? Turns out my LX switches wouldn't fit your LXV anyway. With the "naked" handlebars, you have to buy whole right-hand and left-hand switch assemblies... and they are EXPENSIVE! My wife and I lived aboard our Peterson 46' cutter from 1981-1990. Raced her to Bermuda in 1990 (first house to finish; 32nd boat ![]() |

Starboard, just in case you haven't seen it, SDG has an interesting proposition for you in the "For Sale" section:
