Searching the internet, I find many parts sources for Vespas; I'm a bit overwhelmed. I want to use the best parts on my resto, NOS if possible. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? (for my '62 VNB) Thanks

Use them all. Make multiple orders from different stores. Search each shop's inventory, compare prices, and buy the best combination of deal and quality.
I like: http://www.scootermercato.com/ http://scooterpartsdirect.com/ http://www.garnersclassicscooters.com/ http://www.scooterworks.com/ http://www.americanscootercenter.com/ http://www.scooterwest.com/ Generally in that order. For hard to find stuff, and also when I need lots of things (so it makes the shipping worthwhile, I'll use: http://www.sip-scootershop.com/ (for everything) http://[redacted].com/ (usually only for cheap rubber/body/accessory bits) |

Use the best one that is closest to you. Support local! They can be great resources and you want to keep them around.

if you want original stuff, i LOVE www.ebay.it but you need to have some idea of how to search in italian.
For example...if you wanted a VNB fork you can type it in and the few postings that come back will say "forcella" in it. So, you change your stuff around and do a search for "VNB Forcella" etc. Carburatori, filtro, etc. Most of the words are similar. Posteriore is "Rear" All my italian i learned from italian ebay |

I have used www.scooterwest.com a lot. I found that the prices were different by nickles and dimes, and Max and Steve were very patient with me and gave great advice, so I just stuck with them.[/url]

Our website represents a very small fraction of our inventory, and we specialize in higher quality parts. Feel free to email/fax/call in a list of parts you need. We'd be happy to get back to you with price and availability.

Scooterwest gets my vote. Max is most helpful on the phone. Even though they are on the other side of the country for me , they have a great supply of quality parts and a helpful approach.

Eric, as usual, you are the man!(in a good way) E-bay "Italia" is the place for the kind of parts i'm looking for. A guy on there has the speedo I need for around half the price of here in the states. Thanks again!
