Hi - I'm a new Vespa LX 150 owner and looking for a way to lower my seat the max possible so I can get my feet on the ground. Anybody know of a source for redoing a seat or buying a extra lowered seat in the San Francisco area?

There was a sport seat for ET's that may fit.
Check the Scooter parts suppliers.

There are quite a number shops that do custom work on motorcycle/scooter seats in the Portland and Seattle area so I presume that you have plenty of them down there. Try to Google "custom motorcycle seats" or "motorcycle upholstery" for the Bay area and see what comes up.

Craigslist is a good spot to check for all things vespa. There is a woman who periodically posts on CL that she make custom leather seats for motorcycles. She might be able to make you something thinner than the standard seat. Also, the S model had a lower seat. Here's an S seat for sale in Santa Rosa

Google Pirate Upolstery(but spell it correctly!). They are back East and seem to be the experts at lowering AND narrowing--which you probably need also. Good luck

Why send him all the way across the country?

or

www.day-long.com

These are two of the best in the country and they are in your area.
