Very nice riding around here these next two months. Strikingly beautiful!
Until November when the deep freeze starts. I Hope Its a good sustained freeze this year so it really kills off all the bad bugs. Well I'm off the clean out the tanks on the Rally... |

I plan to ride until the snow flies here in North Iowa. I have been diligently breaking in my engine as the leaves are starting to turn.

I don't know what winter is, but not many of y'all have to put up with 100+ degree heat with 90%+ humidity. They say we have four seasons here in GA, but they're a little different than everyone else's. We have Summer, Still Summer, Oh God Why is it still Summer, and Christmas.
Seriously, I'm going to start getting antsy here soon. The good riding weather is starting in the late evenings now, and by the end of October, it'll be nice enough that I could put boots to pavement without them melting. Yes, October is when we break back into the 80s during the day. Now, if I can just get my scooter running in the next month. ![]() /end rant |

I hate the detroit winters... i hate snow.. but i also hate really hot weather where you have to run the air conditioning as well.
A perfect place for me would be somewhere that's like 55-70 all year round and never snows... but never requires you to run either the heater or the air conditioning. If such a place exists, let me know. |

I have to add to the "big-it-up" for coastal San Diego.
It really is a perfect climate. Living 6 blocks from the beach means it rarely gets too hot in the summer with the nice on-shore breezes. And in 5 years I've seen frost on the ground once in the winter, but only a patch in a sheltered area. If you want to ride year round, then just buy some water proof gear for those 10 days in winter when it rains. |
