No - but part numbers get superseded all the time. Tell them to go ahead and order it (if that really *is* the problem) and if it works, fine, if not, no charge. They really shouldn't mind having one in stock.

Remember - don't program it until you are certain this is the cure. Once you have programmed it there is no chance of returning it. Try starting it with the normal blue/black service key - do not let the red/brown master key near it until starting is proved 100% certain in future.

jimc 58050r module
when testing by repair manual like i stated on original post there's a section thattesting for no .7 second led for ignition. test is term4 to ground battery volts then 4 to 8 battery volts &5 to 8 key on battery volts after passing these test they say change gearcase which i take as module & have also tested ohms on antenna 7-9 and was 8.4 within limits. no flashing led codes. i don't know what else to check. thanks for all your time jimc. as i said it will start & run good when in the 48 hour led flashing period when it times out is when i don't get the .7 led & will not start.

So try the replacement CDI after the 48 hrs has run out. If that works (with the service key only remember) but not with the original, then the job's a good'un - program the new one. At your risk though - diagnosis by remote interweb is not the most reliable.
