Well....I got inspired back on my old post here:

https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic52504

I've decided to build one out of my Sprint. I think that the vintage racer scoots are awesome. So far I have both the cowls cut and most of the rear cut as well. I have a friend that is going to help me gas weld the glove box side that way I can still have a glove box. Also need to re weld 2 of the mounting tabs on the glove box side on the bottom. On the engine side cowl, I'm having him weld a few tabs for mounting. I'm going to run a few flat head allen screw sort of like how the "Corsa Circuito" has it done: http://www.scooter-vespa.eu/V98ccCorsaCircuito.html to help secure the engine side cowl to the frame.

I have plans to only "slightly" trim the front leg shield and floor board.

The front fender I got from Max at Motorsport. I had got these front forks from him that had this cool fender on it. It's just a small motorcycle fender. I trimmed it a little bit and having my friend fabricate a bracket to mount it just above the front tire.

I also just purchased a set of drop bars from Tim Bridges and are from a late model 70's small frame that has the smaller clam shell speedo. I should get it hopefully sometime this week. I also have plans to run the bar end euro style turn signals.

As for the motor, I still have my PX 150 motor with Pinasco exhaust. For budget reasons, I'm only able to get the Pinasco kit at the moment. Hopefully that will get me closer to 70mph which is good enough for the stock brakes.

I also have plans for a adjustable rear shock. The front fork has an upgraded Gabriel front damper. I tried to find a CIF one but couldn't find it.

The paint will be a satin black. When I painted the horn cast a while back, I liked the satin black. SATIN BLACK THE F*CKER!

I'm still deciding to go with either a SIP evo seat or make my own. Either way, it will be low and flat.

Here are just a few pictures so far. I will update more once I get things going again here soon.

btw, I just noticed that SIP has some sweet new adjustable shocks for largeframe Vespas. I hadn't seen these before but they look the business if they ever get them in stock:
