Saw a salvage MP3 250 on Craigs List in Pacoima, CA.

Trying to remember if I saw pictures of this bike here when the accident happened?

I just watched the auction for this bike yesterday... was tempted to bid on it for parts but didn't feel like storing the carcass here.

Whoever is buying these salvage MP3's needs to advertise the parts from them here. Many have expressed interest in various parts at a salvage price. Personally I'd like a seat and a rear wheel for a 400.

well... I can do that. I suppose I can dedicate one parking space to salvage bikes/parts.

There's also a salvage 500 for sale in S.Cal... I think it's $4950 or so.

It would be great. You'll find out if we have money to go with our desires.

$4950 for a salvage bike seems way overpirced to me unless easily fixed and retitled.

^^agreed. It's been for sale for awhile. It is a runner and driver but will always be salvaged. The damage didn't look too bad... but I'd likely sell my clean titled 500 for maybe $1500 more so... *shrug*

He could probably get $3700-$4000 for it.

The problem with selling used parts, as I've discovered, is that even when you ask for half the cost of a new one people often tell you it's too much.
