I think this scoot has to be Chinese.. with a Neopolitan flavour.

Any Ideas..

If your interested in a Vintage look scoot but with a 4-stroke you may want to check out the future Stella. The Stella is due out in 2010.If it remains the same as the one in the pic,I think it will be a winner. Its a 150cc.

Nae bother.

I reckon I'd probably go for it too, in the right situation. Maybe good as a first bike, or a return to scootering. I'm currently thinking a bit higher in displacement terms for my next move...

May see them, may not. They seriously pissed off Piaggio, for obvious reasons:
http://2strokebuzz.com/2009/01/29/vespa-versus-venti

It's supposedly got fuel injection and disc brakes on both wheels, which I hadn't heard before. It would be awesome if Vespa could do that to a vintage-style scoot, or even have a Stella with those features. If a Chinese company can do it on a plastic knock-off, surely the folks who make real metal bikes could do the same.

I suppose it comes down to how much it will cost.
There are quite a few older scoot fans who have sold thier retro's because they were cheesed off with shite brakes and the smell of 2T.
I sold my 63 Lammy and bought a GTS as the comfort and development issue far outweighed the retro style thing.
I know that he retro hard liners will probably disregard the La Vita as a poor replacement for a VB, but I believe it will sell well to the born again scoot brigade and many young people who are now copying the sixties Mod scene with the clothing and hair styles.
OK . It has plastic panels over a tube frame, but who really cares if its not steel. It will cost a lot less to repair the scrapes.
I hope it comes to the UK .. I would buy one to just piss off some of the snobby trad's who regard anything new as inferior.
Yes, The La Vita may be inferior to a modern vespa or honda and even a stellar, but i'm sure it will be lots of fun..

Neptune,
Do you have the LML scoot? Thats what the Stella is really.I'm wondering if LML will come out as a 4T too in your neck of the woods? It seems since the developed countries are getting strict with emissions, you guys would go to a 4T also. Its either that or no vintage 2T's anymore.

Why hasn't Piaggio already modified their PX to a 4T like Genuine/LML is? Certainly they have thought of it prior, wouldn't they have?

Remember, Vespa did not do that well in the US with the return of the PX150. They sold very slowly and dealers had new ones hanging around for several years after Vespa discontinued their distribution. That did not suggest to Vespa that there was a lot of pent up demand for a new shifter. I think Vespa believes their future is with CVT scoots.
