Maybe I can help. I don't know what mudguard you're thinking of but I've heard the chrome front fenders are of notoriously poor quality. The chrome fails whithin weeks. Also hard to install. And some people don't like bling generally.

and furthermore...
I would be a bit surprised if the "chrome" is not actually chrome in some cases. I bought a front suspension cover (chrome) for my GTS that was plastic, and I don't think it was chrome, even though it is said to be. With modern scoots having plastique fenders, I think you might be unhappy. Plus...

Look, contrary to many opines here, I seem to be among the few who actually like chrome. But not the whole fender. I have seen them and it does not really work visually.

There are some chrome metal front fender guards/bars for the GTS, but as far as I'm aware, no actual chrome fenders.

I know there are chrome fenders for the ET, and I believe the LX. But they're still just chromed plastic.

Bricks
It would look like a Firemans Helmet on the front of your scoot.

I wouldn't do it.

The mudgaurds are pretty much a part made to break, right? I rear-ended someone, the plastic broke and the wheel bounced. Wouldn't've liked a solid metal one then. A good $150 or so replacement plus 3 hours work (how many of you are expert enough to drop the front fork? Not me!). I saw a chrome over plastic and passed it by. I would see needing a big other part of body being chromed to make the look work. Post pics if you do go with one, please.
