Modern Vespa

Hello to everybody,

My name's Dejan and I'm writing from Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia.

I've got a Vespa PX200E arcobaleno. My father bought this Vespa new in Trieste ( north-eastern Italy ) in 1989, but we've made only something about 8.000 miles with Vespa, because of the problems with petrol in my country during 1990's . I restarted to use the Vespa only last year again. The reason is because I didn't have "A" drive license category before.

There is one small Vespa club here in Belgrade, but I'm not a member . I'm member of several Italian Vespa clubs and forums because I speak Italian very well and I often go to Italy . For me Italian language is like Serbian.

Later I'll post some photos of my Vespa, if you would like to see it.

Excuse me for my bad English, but I hope that you can understand what I've written .

I'll post the pics as soon as possible. I'd like to take some new pics to post in this forum. Maybe I'll do that today, but I can't promise you that.

I'm glad to see so many Vespisti all over the world. When I was registering on the forum, I thought it's only British, but now I see that it's a real global Vespisti community . It's just amazing.

Hello Aviator and thank you for welcome ... yes it's very nice to meet a neighbor in some global place like this.

I've been several times in Greece on a summer holiday, and I was in Corfu island last year. I saw so many Vespas there. It was a great pleasure for me, because in island of Thasos , in 2000, I didn't see any Vespas. In Thasos I've seen only Japanese scooters.

It seems to be very interesting. For me it's too early to talk about next years rally, but ... I might come ... But tell something ... did they everybody come with their scooters, or they've rented it in Greece ???

The second good reason to came there is because I've never been neither on the island of Paros nor Naxos ...

You have your choice of bringing your own or renting locally. The local rentals were Kymco, Aprilla and Piaggio, all in very good condition. If you rent, it will cost between 140 and 200 Euro for the period, based on the displacement and insurance you choose.

Serbian, Italian & English

In the US we're lucky to speak one language.

Some debate about that. Sure wouldn't hurt us to work a little harder on our language skills.
