I love that it appears he got off his scoot, turned it off in the middle of a busy street and took a picture of it.

2007 GTSie
Yep, got a gorgeous Giallo Lime just over a year ago. Currently sporting reflective black checkerboard on the side bottom edges and covered with vinyl (non-reflective) flowers. People definitely see me coming and I get lots of compliments!

I love this color. It seems like I read somewhere the GTS 300 will be coming out in this color at some point.

My dealer said as with the vintage red they did not send many over. I happen to know 2 people with one, but that may be everyone in the metro area! |

Flower decals
Hey! Will try to post a pic, but I'm pretty technically inept. The flower decals came from Michael's (arts & crafts superstore) - are in the home decor section - used for wall decoration. They are basically cling type and peel off the scooter - no paint damage when you get ready to change them up or just ride naked!
the checkerboard reflective stickers came from the mail order scooter place in California - Motorworks??? |

Another Giallo...
I just purchased a 2007 Giallo Lime 250ie. I love the color. I think we can all agree that Giallo Lime Vespas are indeed faster than black or silver (unless you live in the East Bay) and will give the Toro Rossas a run for the line.
Two of these yellow Vespas appeared on the Bay Area Craiglist last week, both with very low miles. I pick mine up on Saturday. Only 88 miles! I have owned several motorcycles (this is my first Vespa), and I always look forward to breaking them in and that "new bike smell" that fills the garage. Looking forward to joining the modern vespaati, the scooterati, and of course the Giallo Limeati. -Mark |

One was listed for $4,850 with 125 miles, and the other for $4,500 with 88 miles.
I called on the $4,850 Giallo, and the owner was pursuing an offer of $4k, which seemed like a very low offer on a nearly new bike. I then called on the $4,500 listing and offered $4,200. The owner already had an offer for $4,000, and accepted my extra $200. It is definitely a buyers market in the Bay Area. The economy and the Fall season being the biggest factors. ![]() |

Nice bike! I also found my Giallo Lime on Craigslist; 2007 with 500 miles. You got a better deal than I did, but just by a small couple hundred $$. I'm very happy with mine; it has the black seat, and next week when I finally get my new Givi top case painted (just the top part of it) to match; I'll try to post a pic; hopefully I can get a pic small enough to post. I think we are limited on size here aren't we?

Confidential message to Giallo owners:
is it just me, or is this the best looking group of vespa owners? Maybe we just look good in Giallo.

Gelber Kalk
The sale went through and I rode her home on Saturday. The first ride on a new motorcycle/scooter is always the best. As I pass through Los Gatos, a man in a vintage Porsche Speedster (356 convertible?) pulls out of a drive way on the opposite side of the rode. The Porsche is just gleaming in the same color as my Giallo Vespa, although I am sure they call the color "Gelber Kalk" in Germany. The driver's right arm shoots up and over the windshield with a big outstretched thumbs up. I guess we are in good company.
I gave her a wash and wax, cleaning off the remain spots of preservative. Here is a picture. My 5 years calls it the "Banana Mobile." My 3 year refers to it as the "Banana 'cooter." She is still working on the S sound. -Mark ![]() |

Nice looking family on your yellow scooter. I remember when my girls were around that age.
