Let's see, Eric: you've posted this exact complaint in, what, five different places? Four replies (spread around among different topics) and started a topic of its own?
Uhhh... this is now spam. You can stop it -- now -- or I can stop you from posting again. |

I haven't really seen that many post attachments from him though, apart from that pic of the yellow GTS with the red Yardsale logo. I just wonder how many times that same image has been uploaded as a unique image, instead of hot-linking it from another post.... Just thinking out loud. Ignore me.... ![]() |

The few people who have bumped into the limit over the years were generally using the attachment space for something good, like uploading a picture to illustrate a technical point, or even to show something that fell off their bike. These are all things I would consider for the greater good. If I felt like, on the whole, you were using the attachment space for something that benefitted the community, even in a small way, I would almost certainly grant you special dispensation to exceed the limit. |

For us Mac users, here is a free program that works great to resize and adjust photos.

The text will then be highlighted. Just copy and paste that into your post and you're done.

Just click the Profile link under any of your posts to reveal your diskspace usage, then click the link for the User Attachment Control Panel which reveals a list of all the images you've uploaded, showing the file name, extension, and size of each one as well as the thread on which it's posted it. Click the link to the thread and it takes you right to the image in situ, at which point you can replace it with a "more fully processed" image that takes up less space. ![]() Of course then posts will be littered with "last edited on..." notations.... oh well!

Yardsale is known to attach totally unrelated picures, often to totally off-topic messages. On other forums, such members are called picture whores.
I don't open threads that don't interest me. It annoys me to have to look at large picures of his latest boyfriend in a totaly unrelated thread, and I think I am not alone. There must be a reason for his karma. Please don't give him any more tips on how to post even more junk. He might actually get it (the tip, not the hint, I'm afraid).

Just a reminder that the reason for the attachment function is to stop broken links. Don't delete any attachments unnecessarily!

For the handful of folks that might not know... if you go to your own profile while logged in, it tells you how much upload space you have left for the forum.

My .02 Yardsales pics are harmless and people don't have to look at them. There is a person on here who continually posts perverted pics and i don't see people bashing him. Can't we all play nice and if you have a beef with somebody take it off line rather than bashing them online so everyone can get in on the action. Worse than grade school. Everyone posts pics that aren't scooter related.

You could always just use gif's,
They are way smaller than jpeg's and look the same. Convert them with GraphicConverter on a Mac Or Irfanview on a Winbox machine. |
