Hi smallstate,

You really think that this motorbike looks a bit like my scoot?

I don't say that just because the shape, also because the size of the body (the formichino is small), the size wheels, etc. For me are complete different concept. But this is just my impression.

It's a Rumi Formichino ( formichino means "little Ant" in italian... likely because some ants release formic acid when they bite you, blah blah )
It is quite a handsome machine. It does resemble an ant with an ant's large head and skinnier middle.

I don't think they look alike, but I think they share similar concepts and the general aesthetic is very similar.

I would love to see a company do something like the SW-1 with a CVT and a 350cc or so engine. Best of both worlds!

After to see your comment and the one from ericalm, I checked on google more photos of this motorbikes from another views and I must recognize that a bit of similitude in several places both has.
But still thinking that they are very different, for sure in front one to the other even more because the sizes.

To me, they look like they came from the same era, but from different manufacturers... wouldn't mind having one of each in my garage!

Me? I'd also like to see the SW-1 made, but I would prefer a semi-auto 4-5 speed twist-shifter, kinda like the box on a Honda Cub/Sym Symba but with all the controls on the handgrips. Oh, and I'd also want the 350cc engine... Nerd emoticon
