We share the same handbook for the 125 and 150. Accoriding to page 54 the high/low beam bulb is Halogen. The one fitted to mine appers a normal glass bulb. What's fitted to yours in the States please. If it isn't halogen, has anyone tried upgrading bulb to say that latest "blue" bulb?

You can't unless you replace the headlight. And don't, I melted a reflector by doing so. Brit LXs use a Bosch Ba20d fitting. You can buy a replacement bulb which is a 35/35 watt halogen type in Halfords in the motorbike bulb section for £6.

Thanks for that useful information. Been reading about HID and I thought that was the solution.

If you could find one with a Ba20d fitting it might be. Not road legal in this country though.

No you're not. Order a Euro headlight. Don't know where from though. You would need to order it specially.
