Modern Vespa

this was in the headset of a stella i just aquired. it was rattling around in there (i thought it was a screw or something, i found this instead).

there's not one of these in my other stella, so i'm lost as to what it is or what it's for. does anybody know?

I've never seen that before, but if i had to guess, it holds cable outers coming up through your fork channel area and bends them gradually to enter the tubes on the headset.

Lambrettas have something similar inside the headset: cable guides... that look similar to this.

I could be 100% wrong, though.

that's what i thought it might be, but i can't see how it fits in there. i'll have to dig around and do some more exploring.

How old is your Stella Chad? I can have a look at mine tomorrow if no-one else does first. 10pm here and pitch black now... I'll take a pic if I find it.

it's a 2008 on the VIN (title says 2009), thanks for the help!

Had a good poke around in my headset Chad and couldn't find anything either. Mine also seems to be manufactured in 08 or early 09. Pics in case you see something I don't..

i bet its nothing. a mistake at the factory or during final assembly. i would write it off as such then throw it in the recycle bin. or save it forever just in case. in the little box hidden in that special spot so it stays safe.
