Modern Vespa

Well guys,
I'm writing to confess to the world (well, confess to you lot - just tell the rest of 'em) that my Vespa is not my greatest love.

I've asked my girlfriend to marry me and she's gone for it, so we've got a wedding to look forward to, and I fully expect it to be my favourite of all the ones I've been to.

Maybe me and the lads could get dropped off on Vespas. I bet this could be arranged somehow. I wouldn't expect the Mrs to get on one with a dress on but a VW might be pretty cool.

Anyway, I'm just pretty excited and keen to share. I told you lot when I got knocked off and got some support so hopefully some folk will have a smile on me. I'm having one.

Since it is too late and all, now that you have asked her, and she accepted!! I truly hope that the two of you have a long and wonderful marriage.

I used to give a Medium sized ginger jar as a wedding gift., With the following attached to a tag. "Take this Jar as your new life together starts out, and every time either of you have a great moment together, jot it down, on a slip of paper, putting it in the jar. Then anytime you two are in a bad spot, as will happen from time to time. Take out a slip of paper and read it to the other. Repeat as needed till you both can smile at each other again! " Dump them out from time to time mix them up and put them back in.

Another take on the jar:

During the first year of marriage, each time you make love put a bean in the jar. Thereafter each time take one out. If you empty the jar you'll be in the Guiness Book of Records...

This pic is rather what I had in mind - cheers for bringing this mob to my attention! I'll need to find out how far they can go. They seem to be based in the NW of England but that's a pretty easy (albeit longish) drive from here so it might be a possibility. Thanks again, all!

Total Congrats! You know, she'd look pretty sweet on a pink scoot of her own, or something! "His & Hers'....gives a whole new meaning to the term.

When I got married, I rode to the receptionin my full gown/train in a tiny Dodge Omni, so I don't think riding on a scoot would be much harder!!

The most important part of a wedding is that you are married. All of the other stuff (i.e. money, bickering (mainly with family), dresses, food, etc.) is all pretense and subterfuge for the whole purpose of the day. Do what you want, and enjoy yourselves. Also, don't forget to eat. A lot of people get very busy and don't eat.

congratulations, i am getting married next year, and what i think is a good way to bring scoots into the mix is to pose for pics on the scoot in front of something scenic, for example at our reception i am going to park the scoot in the Spanish gardens and get pics of us on the scooter. but best wishes and rember not to stress on the wedding day, the plans always work themself out.
