OCALA, Fla. -

A Marion County deputy pulled over a naked man riding a motorcycle and charging the man with driving under the influence. The deputy reported that he was driving on Interstate 75 early Tuesday morning when he spotted what appeared to be a naked man on a motorcycle. The deputy caught up with the 45-year-old man at a red light and stopped him.

The man reportedly could not explain where he was coming from or why he was naked. The deputy asked him if he had been drinking, and he reportedly answered that he had. Breathalyzer tests revealed blood alcohol levels of .178 and a .162. The state's legal limit to drive is .08.

The man was charged with what turned out to be his fifth DUI. Jail records showed he was later released on $20,000 bail.

Talk about a rough night.

Around here, we have naked cyclists at the Solstice Parade and topless women riding in the Pride Parade... so when are we going to hear about nekkid vespa gangs?

It just goes to show that riding is easier than dressing...

I don't drink while riding either. It'd be tricky to accomplish anyway.

I might have a couple of pints in a couple of hours beforehand mind of an evening, and a beer at lunchtime is part of the pleasure on a long ride-out.

Too bad the environment is so bad for scooters at Burning Man, otherwise a naked ride on a bunch of 50cc would be fun (of course we would at least be wearing helmets and goggles).

I wonder if he knew that Ocala, had a 'run on red' law. That's probably what got him. Sitting there at the traffic light. Waiting for the pizza delivery man.

SQREAM in Denver has been known to hold a late night "Full Moon Ride" on occasion. And they don't just mean a fully lit moon in the sky, either.

Maybe he thought he was riding in the streets of Coventry.

This guy was charged with his FIFTH DUI! WTF is this guy doing on the road? He should have his license revoked for life.

Unfortunately that is what a "good lawyer" can get you.

On a more serious note ... I really wonder where his helmet is? Maybe this guy was the victim of his own stupidity. Perhaps he came on to or insulted the wrong woman and her boyfriend or boss decided to teach the guy a lesson. The last place he remembers being is Hooters in Ocala!

OR ... he may have passed out and someone decided that if he was naked, there is no way he would ride home? I'll bet they find all his clothes and helmet somewhere around the Hooters parking lot.

Ok it's nice jokingm but is was really dangerous situation. But I'm wondering that he's stopped on light sign ... If he was so drank ....

He was on a motorcycle, not a Vespa..

Revocation of a license does not prevent someone from driving. It only makes subsequent driving against the law.

Operating After Suspension is, unfortunately, a fairly common offense. Ironically, the common penalty for Op After is...more suspension, along with a fine. Habituals pay the fine and go on driving.

I agree, after the second or third offense, it's time to spend a few months in jail. And since he can work when he gets out, he should have to pay for what it costs to house him while in jail.

I couldn't agree more with the posters above.
Drunk Driving is not treated harshly enough in this country. I think there should be mandatory jail time. Drunk drivers take innocent peoples lives all the time. It's about time we get serious about this and enforce a much stricter penalty.

While this story is humorous I cant believe this guy was driving with 5 previous DUI's !!

Will never happen, 90 members of Congress have been pulled over and charged with Driving Under The Influence or Driving While Impaired in just the last year

Really? Do you have a source for that info? I work for a grant program that is targeting drinking and driving in our area. Would love to bring those stats to meeting!

I noticed that too after I looked at it. In fact, I think it read that the claim was 10 years old.
