Had the pirelli and the michelin on my old LX125.
The michelin inspires confidence, where the pirelli makes you have to take it easy in the corners. It would weave all over the road in a straight line.
Above 90km/h it would start to wobble thru the whole scooter. The michellin gives a silky smooth ride at any speed and wont break loose doesnt matter how hard I ride.

I just couldnt wait to get the pirelis off.
damn. cant get them michelins here. i agree the pirellis weave a lot. and wear a lot. and unevenly so at that. grrr.

thanks, mikael.

hi,

i just got hold of my new LX150ie after trading in my beaten up ET4. Was just wondering how you went about breaking it in?
'Soft or hard' as they say?
there seem to be so many different views on this point, and was just wondering since you've got the same scoot .....

Be glad to hear your views on this

cheers

Hi, I'm sure your enjoying the crispness of an injected motor.
Give it a couple thousand km and it will loosen up nicely. Run in, never really ran anything in before. I rode mine hard straight out of the box.

Thanks for that, seems to be to opinion of many others also here, so i'll stop being nervous and enjoy it then! Its actually the first time i've bought a bike new, and was really gutted when the dealer told me about 'having' to break it in!

As for the crispness and smoothness, your right its lovely, also its been about six months since i was on a scoot (the beaten up ET) and the smiles are back and bigger with every km!!!!

Cheers again, enjoy!

PS, did you work out an average mpg as yet?

This bike will be available in the US in 2 months.

Piaggio North America Tech support has them and is already training with them.

Was told the difference is like the GT200 vs the GTS250 in response and smoothness.

And for those shops that have one, the Digitek will work with the 150ie....

Mine has done just over 8,000km and still has an intermittent rattle from the engine. It does it on light throttle cruise. Sort of used to it by now and it hasn't seemed to hinder performance in any way.

Beautiful LX150ie!!! I would love to find out the performance comparison to the previous LX150.

kemalkem,

Very nice LX. However, if you would like to show off your scooter, I highly suggest that you create a new thread for it. This thread was created by the OP to show off his new LX150ie.

I have done a fair bit to mine.
GPR exhaust
Polini speed clutch
Polini 9 roller
Polini foam filter in standard airbox.
Heidenau larger 130 rear tyre.
Thinking 190 kit, but my mechanic has done that with his carbed LX, along with a gear up kit and upjet carb. Mine pulls hard off the line way out in front of his. Then i just sit ahead of him, but he never seems to pull in front of me. He needs to spend a bit more on an exhaust, dellorto cable carb, pod filter etc to gain the real benefits of the big bore.

Theres alot to be said for the new injected 150's
