I was parking the PX in the main town square yesterday when the physician who gave us our driver license physicals 3 years ago came up to me and began talking in Greek 90 miles per hour. I said it would be better if we spoke English, and he said, "You know me?". I explained how, and he said he thought I looked familiar. We have to go to a private physician for license physicals, rather than the free national health care ones.
He had approached me because he has two 79 P200s, and was admiring my PX. We admired each others' scoots, talked P series for a bit and then he asked, "Did you know that there was a Vespa owners rally here this past Spring? It was in the English language paper. I am sorry I missed it. The paper said it might come again next year."
So, I told him the story of "Team MV" and assured him that 2010 was on the agenda, giving him the MV web site and the Rally web site.
BTW, the article is here: http://paroslife.parosweb.com/story.html?story=2480&issue=127 The printed paper had photos.
