Modern Vespa

... can't believe I am even considering this.

I have a friend who told me about "an old scooter" that just collects dust in the back of his boss's garage. I told him I'd be interested in looking at it if his boss wanted to get rid of it. Boss said "Yeah, I'll sell it..."

Anyway, I roll over to the place with dreams of Rally 180's, GL150's, and SS90's dancing in my head (yeah right ). I get there, and of course it's just a stinky old 1982 P125 with an extra crappy paint job. Meh, it was still fun to go look at.

But, as I am driving home I start ruminating on it. I'm pretty sure I could get it for nothing (errr... next to nothing).... and now I'm thinking: "Project P-east Deluxe". Strip it, paint it, pimp the lump, carb, and exhaust. You know, matte black and hot rod the f**ker. 8)

Decisions, decisions.

Right? I'm never a fan of of crash bars, but that black p-coat looks the snazz.

It looks alright to me, but I am used to looking at my rusted and banged up scooter. Does it run? Actually it looks way better than mine. Hmmm... I bet the engine out of mine in that non-banged up body would be really nice .

This reminds me to post photos of the nasty paint on my P. I guarantee that it will make yours look like it was painted by Van Gogh in comparison.
