My wife likes to ride pillion on our 2008 GTS but only for short trips because she is only 5' tall on a good day and her feet don't reach the folding pegs. When we ride her feet are just dangling loose which is not very comfortable for her and perhaps not very safe because she is only planted on one point, not three.

Ideas? I've thought of platform shoes or lowering the pillion seat (which I don't need for myself on the front portion--I am 6'). She wouldn't ever ride her own scooter--only as a passenger.

GT/GTS foot peg extension

It wasn't very well received at the time, but it does meet the stated goals.

Boots may be the answer. MySkyMizer started a thread over on the MP3 discussion forum. https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic48414?highlight=boots

A combination of the foot peg extension that Jess linked you to along with platform boots would probably work best.

I have always thought that your best bet for this kind of thing was to put something on a set of crash-bars. The idea of building something into the tubing was about opposite of what I was thinking about. I was thinking of something that folded back over the crash-bars. So it would not stickout too far once folded up nor would it stay stuck out if the scoot went down. The peg would just fold up over the crash-bar.

But the wife does not seem to interested in riding so I have put that project on a back burner.
