that one might be a little "nicer". feature wise, however, they are nearly an exact match. the only difference on the listed features is that their suspender fasteners are metal, mine are plastic.

Yes, or your local equivalent. Something made to go over street clothes. As I said, ours is not branded. Unless that store in Lund still has the same ones on the rack, you're going to have to do a bit of looking around. Lund is a nice little town, however, so you might just plan a trip there. OK, links:

They have many others on that site.

there is definitely a time and place for motorcycle rain gear....freeway riding being the first thing that comes to mind. but given my my desire for common sense solutions and the fact that i don't care about compounding the relative oddity of a man riding a beat up scooter with wearing gorton's gear, motorcycle rain suits are not for me.

I wear a bright yellow rubber suit, makes you easy to be seen, no seams to leak. Goretex boots and gloves, fantastic in the UK winter weather.

Me myself use a nice Dainese jacket, lined with their Goretex-copy D-dry, featuring protection and removable lining.

Keeps me dry and warm in any rain or weather. When the winter comes i just put in the lining and no problem.

It can sustain extremely, Mediterranean rain for at least an hour without taking in water.

More or less identical with this one, even if it has around 5 years by now: http://www.dainese.com/it_it/motorbike/g-juneau-trx-d-dry.html?cat=12&subcat=15

Pants: my GF gave me a pair of Dainese, with zippers along the legs from the feet to the waist. You can open it from the bottom, from the top or as you like. I usually opens them from the feet up to the waist, makes them extremely easy to enter and exit.
