I was out at the Hookah Lounge and the
lights went out of around 20 minutes, did
it hit anyone else? And if so where were you?

You can look at the CALISO web site for outages or you can look at the SCE web page. I don't think the blackout was casued by lack or resooures ( Power Capaicity) more offten then not it would be a line outage or transormer SCE is very good about keeping the power up.

unless it was a big failure like they had on the east coast a few years back not many members would know about it. they are local to a switchyard.

Are we shouting because the lights went out at the beach?

Sounds like a great excuse to go skinny dipping with the cutie next to you.

This is a global forum with over 15,000 members. Having set that do you think 14999 people give a crap that somebody sitting in a bar had to go thru the trauma of a 20 minute blackout in 80 degree weather?

Do you read the news, do you know what is happening to some in the world? I just don't get it, I mean I really don't get it.

The uninitiated cannot appreciate what truly reliable power some of you have. We have power outages on an almost daily basis here. Mostly an hour or two but sometimes 4 to 6 hours at a time. After a hurricane, we often go weeks without power and no water, can't flush your toilet, torn up roads, no fresh food ... well, you get the idea.

Some people live with their heads in the clouds ... but then we knew that already didn't we?

Hehe, when my wife and I honeymooned on Tortola (frenchman's cay) we had what we called "occasional power onages". Still - beautiful sky, weather, water, sand. I can honestly say we hardly noticed, but I'm sure it would be different if we actually lived there.
