My wife and I recently took a scooter road trip that Google maps said was 175 miles [one way]. My Fly odometer showed about 185 miles and my wife's Buddy 125 showed around 200 miles.

I know that speedometer readings are about 5 mph generous but, are the odometers set up the same way? or are ours abnormal?

Anyone else experience this? Is this a conspiracy to show better mpg?

Weird i wonder if your bigger tires on the fly compared to the smaller ones on the buddy had anything to do with it. Interesting on the gas mileage Other than the tires i can't help you but hope you had a fun trip

Even though the Piaggio speedos are 5-10% optimistic, the odometers tend to be much more accurate (assuming original spec tyres are on the front). They are usually within 1%, rarely more than 2% out on average. Obviously tyre wear does play a part here.

My 2007 Buddy 125 has a 9.2% error for both the speedo and the odo, GPS measured. My Vespa GTS250 has a 10% speedo error but the odometer was spot on with a ride of over 100 miles.

On my GTS the speedometer is exactly 10% fast but the odometer is perfectly accurate. I'm guessing your Fly probably works the same.

My husband and I took a trip yesterday, and we filled up and checked our odometers...when we got home, mine had traveled 51 and his 55. He was on a BMW GS. I wish we had the GPS on to see what it said.
