Hello All,

Does anyone know if the brake light switches can be adjusted? I find my brake lights only come on when the levers are moved about half way through the total movement, especially the rear.

Under light braking the brake lights don't come and I think this could be dangerous..

Yes. unscrew the brake light switch and reinsert it using a washer on the body of the switch. Or you can file a bit of length off the end of the plunger of the switch. Had to do this on several scooters.

Two ways:

1. You can unscrew the switch and add a washer, or as I have sometimes done, wind a thin bit of stretched self-amalgamating tape around the threads and then screw in to the 'right' point. The tape will cure and hold it in place very nicely.

2. You can cut 1mm at a time off the end of the switch actuator (plunger) until it works as you like.

I like my brake light to come on just before the pads are feathering against the disc - this way I can flash my brake lights without actually braking. This can be useful to give a warning to a vehicle behind.
