Hi everyone - this is my first post - so apologies if I mess something up / ask something redundant. I tried searching the site, and the rest of the internet too, but found nothing helpful.

In any case, my LXV150 was knocked over at some point between midnight and noon. I don't know how long it was down, but the jerk that did it left it on the ground, and when I found it, there was a puddle of gasoline all around it.

I'm not sure what, if any, problems might result from this. It took it a while, but it eventually turned back on, so I don't know if I should take it into the shop. Does anyone have any advice? Is there anything to be concerned about? The gas puddle is what worried me...

Also, it seems like the foot bar on the center stand is bent out of shape - so that it doesn't fully rest on the ground - is that a usual result of getting knocked over?

Thanks for bearing with me.

I'm hoping to learn more about my scooter on here so I can work on it myself eventually. Thanks for all the other helpful posts!

Aloha and welcome. You need to take your evap hos off (emissions stuff) and clean your air filter. If you go to the WIKI section it will tell you with pics how to do this. I'm horrible with links I'm thinking you might be able to knock the "foot" thing back into place but can you show us pics so we can tell whether you can. Did they try to steal it or was it kids out having fun? I'm sorry this had to happen to you. The knock over didn't do any real damage just annoying stuff you'll have to do. Oh and the little over flow oil bubble if it's full might have to be emptied. I would check your oil levels (hub, engine) just in case. Can you park it somewhere else? Maybe put a cover over it might help but NYC seems to have these problems. Good luck and i hope this helps.

Hi and welcome my super is only 8
weeks old and the centre stand arm
does not touch the floor either i
thought it was bent from the
factory but looking at others i
noticed they were all the same, just
wondering if anyone else has
noticed this before and is there a
reason for it????

the arm on the centre stand is not ment to rest on the ground when the stand is down. you need to remove your air-filter and get the excess petrol out of it, if the bike will start and run ok i would suggest taking it for a long ride at full throttle. Your vespa will love you for it.

Pictures of the center stand would help, us see if what you are talking about, is normal or not. The center stand parts and pieces are bent to odd angles and curves.
Here is a picture of my GTS250 with tire, exhaust and mounting plate removed. It gives a good shot of what the center stand looks like on a GTS 250 As you can see the two feet are on the ground and nothing else. The deployment lever -- as in the oddly bent rod, attached to the center stand's left foot, that you use to step on in order to deploy the center stand, does not touch the ground, though you can't tell very well from this picture.

I'm a newby too, Could we see a photo? My kickstand side pushdown bar doesn't sit flat on the ground either.

If you notice it being hard to start, or idling roughly, check out ET/GT/LX: Hard Starting, Rough Idle, or Stalling. Hope that you get it all squared away soon!
