wanted to go to work, switched the key and the seatlight wouldnt go out, the red light with the same logo as the orange light for the lock.

I had to switch it of and on a dozen times but while the motor was running the light kept on and that causes the motor not want to ride like i wasnt seated.

the only trick was to keep the button for unlocking on the unlock mode wjile starting. after that i could ride again.

Ever happend that with you before?

Seat sensor (or its wiring) is duff. Several folk have had their seats changed under warranty for this. Seems daft when just a new sensor (if it's the sensor not the wiring) would be far cheaper.

If you remove the plug from the seat sensor (or have no sensor, or short-circuit it) the light will light up as you have found. It needs a resistor across the socket, 3k0 seems to be the favourite value, in order to bypass the sensor.

Is someone keeping track of all these neat fixes? I would hate to have to squeeze JimC's head to get all of it out at once!
