Hi!

The original side view mirrors on my MP3 250 don´t agree with me at all. No matter how I adjust them I dont feel that I got a good view. It kinda feels like the bar that the mirror is fitted on is to short.

Any suggestions om what mirrors to buy to replace them?

See the "My MP3 500 Mods" thread below. I use the CRG bar-end mirrors, and they work really well. I use them on all my bikes. Only drawback is they're not inexpensive, and they make the MP3 a little wider overall. But your view to the rear is drastically improved. I've even put them on my wife's Kymco People 150 and she's very happy as well.

I bought some mirror extenders on e-Bay for about $19.00. They slightly raise the miirrors and move them to the outside about 1.5 inches. They are black annodized aluminum and are barely noticeable but the mirrors work great for me.

you did rotate the bars to maximize their lateral reach, no? unless adjusted so i found i had a better view of my shoulders than surrounding traffic but now i can see behind and besides me quite well. (do head check as well, of course).

Well I adjusted the left one, the bar is loose on that one. I was affraid to meddle with the right side bar thats stuck. Is there some screw to loose up the bar or what? I peeled of the rubber sealing and looked down the hole but I did´t see anything.

Maybe a stupid question but I rather ask than do anyting by force and end up damaging my new scoot.

The nut is underneath. It takes, I believe, a 13mm or 1/2 inch socket wrench.

Gosh i have my reciept five feet from me, but cannot find it! Think it was rusty rider LLC? Our fine member making the "highway peg brackets", list a company he bought the pegs from. They have a set of "cheap" 3x4 inch(?) mirrors for about $18 a set. They will thread in on the MP3 500. Now just add two cheap "sticky wide view mirrors" to the bottom outer edges and perfecto vision. The sticky mirrors are for seeing "behind you only". Both lanes to left and right are in full view of the other mirrors. Will add site when i find it. I know pictures are worth a million words, but that is another item on my "learn list".

Thanks G03. I allready bought "sticky wide view mirrors". They were cheap, only 1,3 euro but still I don´t like the settings on the original mirrors. I will try to unscrew them tomorrow and change the angles further more.
