Modern Vespa

I've been contemplating several lighting mods to increase conspicuity. I was working them off one at a time but decided to step back and do them all at once. Some electronics will be required so rather than piecemealing it, I am going to design and build a centralized control unit for all of it that I mount in the glove box (likely).

Here's my desired requirements:
- Flasher switch that winks all turn indicators on/off when the flasher switch is on and the key is on or off. The flasher switch must be in the glovebox to avoid tampering
- Side running LED lights that are on solid when the turn signal indicator is off and key is on; appropriate side winks on/off when the turn signal is engaged; and winks on/off when the flasher switch is on whether the key is in the on or off position
- Auxiliary tail lights that have the same functionality as the tail light when the flasher switch is off; winks on/off when the flasher switch is on and the key is off. If two lights are used (like I envision by moding the top case reflectors), the appropriate side should wink on/off when the turn signal is engaged and the flasher switch is off.
- Mechanical clicking sound that indcates the blinker or flasher is on that can be heard at speed

Anything else you'd desire?

You may find the turn signal device from an MP3 will provide most of the functionality you need. Just a thought, most of the hard work done for you.

Hi Miguel, check out the mods i did on my et4 in the project forum EXTRA BRAKE/TAIL LIGHTS+FRONT RUNNING LIGHTS .My leds stay on all the time ,if you are looking for a wiring diagram so they will switch off during flashing of turn signals try Jimc he has info . cheers Bill
