I just bought a 2009 bv500 (sienna ivory) and I am having a hard time finding a taller windscreen than the orignal for 2009. I have visited several sites but they all indicate theirs are for 2008, not 2009. Does it matter? WIll a 2008 fit 2009?
Also any suggestoins for saddle bags? and has anyone added a 12v outlet in the glovebox?

I did a search on this forum, but again it appeared as though all I could find was 2008 and earlier. Thanks.

I don't know if this helps, but I'll throw it out there. When I bought my 2009 BV 500, I wasn't thrilled with the stock wind screen. There were two 2009 BV 250's next to the 500 on the showroom floor. I asked the dealer if he could take the wind screen off one of the 250's and put it on my scooter, and surprisingly, he accomodated my request. So, I think if you can find a 2009 windscreen for the 250, it would also work for your 500.

No guarantee, but it worked for me. You'll want to verify with your parts supplier if you go that route.

By the way, good choice on the Sienna Ivory - classy looking scooter!

The Givi Italy site (http://www.givi.it) states that their 352A Windscreen fits '07 to '09.

Thanks. I could not find the same number from the italian site on a US site. But it may be that A103 fits - I found a website that said it fit -09 although most others list it as 08.

What I meant to convey was that the mounting for the '08's and '09's are the same. If one windshield fits both years, they all will.

The Givi A103 is 27.5 inches tall and the A106 is 24" tall. If you are 5'10" or taller, buy the A103 or the wind will come over the top of the shield and hit you squarely in the face and produce a lot of buffeting. I have the A106 and I had to installl a Laminar Lip to stop the buffeting. Both Givi shields for the BV500 are well made, sturdy shields with excellent mounting hardware: No rattles or shakes.

And as Chetwynder posted, the 08's and 09's are identical machines. A lot of sites just haven't updated their databases to show the 09 models.

Thanks for all the help. I could not tell if there were any external changes from 2008 to 2009. I am short - so the shorter givi will probably work.

I have a 2009 BV500 and the only difference on the headset between the 08 and 09 is the chrome "Tourer" badge. That's it. All windshields for US model BV's will work on your 09.
