I'm getting ready to tear down the scoot and start the body work. I'm torn between filling the holes in the leg shield or leaving them. I assume the holes are for a front rack. The racks I have seen for sale appear to not require mounting holes. I'm not sure I want a front rack anyway. If I left the holes I could plug them with chrome plugs. What do you guys think?

If you're going to paint it, have them welded up.

This is sorta your last chance to do that. Particularly if you don't have the item that actually uses those holes.

I'd weld them, particularly if they're near the edges, to prevent the chance of stress cracks forming.
