Can a custom exhaust be fabricated from a slip-on from a small production bike like the Ninja 250, or other 4 stroke motorcycle or scooter, I've seen lots of slip-on that can maybe fitted to the Vespa 250ie or 300 ? I would think that as long as the Pipe is same basic size it may work.
I see brands like two brother, scorpion, Huski, and others that may fit our needs.
what you think

Of course you can as others have. The key to making it actually work well is to match the header pipe length. If you were to gut your pipe, you would see the head pipegoes all the way to the rear of the exhaust and loop half way back . By comparison, a m.c. Exhaust starts at the front of the bike and runs to the back, a much longer distance than the scooter exhaust that start half way back the vehicle. This is why the PM Tuning pipes have a loop in the header. To get the legnth. Vespa does it internally

The header is going to be the hard part, I geuss I can start at a local exhaust shop and see if it can be made to fit. I was thinking the loop in the PMtunning was for flex and expantion

I'm collecting parts to use a SuperTrapp on my GT200. Got the exhaust on CL cheap. Ordering a 1.5" x 4" flex joint and looking for a header pipe.
SIPscootershop has a Scorpion header for $60. Not sure how much shipping from Germany is though. http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/20041100/Jointpipe+SCORPION+PIAGGIO.aspx Stinger Performance has the flex joint for $25. http://www.stinger-performance.com/universalparts.html The Flex joint is commonly use in turbo wastegate applications, so if you search in that direction you might find others cheaper and or better. I like the idea of the SuperTrapp because it is adjustable, just add or remove disks. Will report back soon as to the results.

Does anybody knows if the 125/200cc Liquid Cooled LEADER uses the same header pipe (connection) as the aircooled 125cc LEADER?

I would like to make my own exhaust aswell, using the exhaust (muffler) of a 250cc gokart.

I cut open a stock et4 pipe and have used it to start making a home-made exhaust . I have tried it on my scooter and it sounds/runs well . just need to do a bit of cutting/welding etc
