has anyone ever had one of the front wheels lock in an up position--as in about a foot off the ground.......

recently did 2 slow left hand turns into the post office and went to do a right turn into the parking space.....obviously under 6 mph but when I went to do the right turn.....the scoot started to go over...fortunately since I was going so slow stuck my leg out and eased her down without any damage...except maybe to my ego.....when the guy mowing the lawn helped me get her back up the right front wheel was about a foot off the ground and locked up....scared the you know what out of this 70 yr old woman.....took it to the dealer who is VERY good and they had a VERY hard time making it duplicate the incident.....seems it's in the locking mechanism that allows you to not have to put your feet out when you stop which I don't use anyway...happened after making very tight turn......old rider old habit...put feet out.....I only use it when I back out of my garage.....have not had it happen again but......interested to see if anyone else has encountered this.......Moe

thinking of triking it.... Razz emoticon

Have you been in an accident before on your MP3?? I had a friend of mine who was in an accident ( hitting a curb). We though nothing of it until he notice his front fork felt grabby. Turns out the rod was bent and the lockng caliper was becoming stuck on it. Easy fix they replaced the locking rod as it was bent. Have your dealer look there. good luck

I have to say your lack of experience in using the tilt lock while on the move may have contributed to this. As you went over you may have tipped the button - so suspension locked. If you had unlocked it first before uprighting (and then re-aligned wheels and re-locked) there wouldn't have been a problem.

Actually if you had practised far more at using the lock you would have braked and used the tilt-lock before it went anywhere near tipping over - before you even thought about it consciously.

The device is there to be used - get used to it, it could be a bone-saver, get it in your muscle-memory.
