some of the best mods to date. You have the storage of the 400 with the power of the 500 and a good cross look of the 2. Very nice job Maksor.

Its still a rumour but we had a meeting 27th of september with the Dutch Mp3 club and a CEO of Piaggio Benelux was there and he told somebody that they are working on a Fuoco with the Enigne of the Gilera GP800 but they had some difficulties fitting it because its a 2 cylinder 839cc enigne the GP800 scooter will reach 200+ Km/h Razz emoticon

Sure it can, I was just thinking of the more classical sense of the word and the fact sticky posted a photo with him driving and his lady riding pillion...

Hey sticky, I can compare Florida wet to Oregon easily enough since I lived in Naples for many years before relocating here - the two big differences: warm rain as opposed to cold rain, and we almost never get thunderstorms here. Prefer it here, but do miss chickee huts and 'bikini patrol' on the hot beach sometimes...

Thank you the saddle is stock I removed the stickers off the body, but I still wanted people to know what it was. Also thought it gave it a sportier look. The side cases were just purchased from ebay they are for the Kawasaki KLR 650 but they fit the 500 like it was made for it. Piaggio needs take note

What is the rear mudguard from? I saw one on a Beverly 500 and was wondering if it would fit the MP3 500.

I just ordered the Bev 500 one yesterday...Looks perfect except it may have to be cut a little toward the front.

I've also looked at the Scarabeo one...

Maksor, you are a wizard, this is so cool. I wich that I had the ability to do 10% of what you did. Unfortunatly god has blessed me with a so called "center thumb"

Im very much looking forwart to seing the rear footrest project.

I would very much like to put the 500 front on mine, but Im a bit afraid that it will be too heavy for a 250.

Keep updateing us with your projects.

The side cases look great! I would like to get some more information about them like:

1. Who is the manufacturer.

2. How are they mounted, i.e., did you create custom racks or did you buy them and where.

3. Can they be easily dismounted

4. Any balance/weight distribution issues when loaded.

Thank you in advance for your help!

my GPS and iPhone mount
I used a RAM mount for both GPS and iPhone . I screwed it into place on the plastic cover of the brake reservoir. Its very tight inside I had to sand paper the nut and cut the screw to make it fit. Make sure you use thread lock on the nut. I also changed the screw for plastic cover so it wont move. It did more than 4000km without any problems until I sold my MP3 and upgraded ....

How big a differnece did it make removing the hose?

Are there any problems or issues with it removed?

Why did Piaggio put it there?

i will loose 2 bhp when i put it back tested on a dyno

and the hose is a restrictor so i won't use more fuel

if you get more air in the engine will need more fuel it will learn if you remove it

a drawback on a stock 400 will be the colder temps below 0 c
it won't run that well when the engine is cold

mine doesn't do that because i fitted also the Rapid bike III

a dutch clubmember reported that problem and he put back the hose and it was running good but he did feel that it lost some power he said

he got a non stock exhaust
