Has anyone installed the Clearwater Glenda LED drivign lights on their MP3 and any problems encountered? Here is a link to their website.

I had no problems fitting them up to the front tube but I did use the bracket from rear light and used it to mount the front up to the tubing if you do order ask about the rear mounting bracket

clearwater lights
thanks for the response. I have a 400 and no convenient tube members like you have. So I am contemplating the best postions. May actually mount on the plastic area or try to work up some bracket to hide under the plastic fender. Where did you tie in the positive power source and where did you have controller mounted? Photos would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Hi all,
I' ve been lurking this forum for years but finally found a used mp3 250 for a good price a few weeks ago. This forum has been a huge resource in researching before my purchase to know what issues to look for and I've already had use for some of the information around lost keys etc. Seems like a truly great community here! I really enjoy my Mp3 and last week I made a small "mod" that I thought I would share. I bought reflective tape to use on the rims but had issues getting it to line up nicely enough so I ended up using it on the front instead. I've always been a bit worried about visibility and now when the mp3 I bought is all black I think this could improve daylight visbility a bit at least. In my opinion it highlights the rather cool shapes of the front's different elements and should hopefully "disturb" the eye a bit more than an all black front.. What do you think? |

I like it! Bet the reflective tape looks cool at night! If you can take a reflective night pic, I would like to see it!

I'll have pics of mine up once the spacers and bolts for my new diamondplate floorboards arrive and I can install those and the pegs...but this is a good example of what retro-refective vinyl/tape can look like at night.

Thanks!
I'll try to arrange a night pic with flash. Might be tricky though, celebrating Mid Summer here in Sweden the sun is up pretty much 24/7 |

Congrats on finishing the Scoot Maksor looks awesome, Only wish that a source here in the states would start carrying the Yourban front fenders and the mounting hardware for them
they look so much cooler than the stock ones on most MP3's including mine |

My '09 500
The original color was red & black. I covered all the red with Rustoleum's FlexiDip rubberized paint. I also covered up that annoying silver belly pan area. I think it gives it a more cohesive look as well as making it look visually thicker in the middle. I'm thinking of also painting the pulley cover black.
