There are several custom motorcycle/scooter seat shops right in Seattle. Rich's is the best known of them. Memory foam, gel pads, custom height, any kind of vinyl, any color of trim, real leather if you want - the sky's the limit!
Thanks everyone--I was afraid that my seat is toast. Sounds like it might be.
I'll have to check out Rich's. It'd be a nice ride up there.
Since my scooter is so new though--does this sound hinkey? Like, was there something inherently wrong with my seat to have it go bad so quickly? I saw a reference to a 2004 seat recall. I guess I'm just wondering if there's any shot at getting a new seat out of the deal from Piaggio

From the wonderful folks who brought you the greasy seat in the first place? Why bother? Now is your chance to get the seat of your dreams, crafted to your specifications. Go for it!
Yes, please do Armor All your seat. Then go to a parking lot and set up a tripod camera. Then film yourself riding around. When in view of the camera hit your brakes. I want to see how you steer while sitting behind the legshield on the floorboard.
Armour Alled my seat multiple times, never ended up sitting on the floor boards. Come on over, I'll teach ya the basics of how not to fall of your scooter. Tell the short bus driver you need to detour to Chicago tomorrow...
Now that's good sarcasm.
I too Armour all regularly and have never slipped at all.
