Modern Vespa

I'm looking to get a one seater on my ET4, i was wondering if there are any "racer" style seats that will fit besides the S sport ones. I'm not really interested in a custom made seat.

Man...i wouldn't even know how to go about answering that. I don't think a vintage seat would fit the bill. You've saddle seats and bench seats to pick from ... and i don't think either would cover up the gapingly wide hole that is the "helmet bucket / pet carrier" in your scoot.

yeah, i thought the underseat trunk would be a little wide. thanks for the help. i was thinking of bench style, but i may just go with that sport seat of the new v S's

oh come on the bucket isn't that huge you're making it sound like a smouldering cauldron of doom eric.

i'm by no means an expert on vintage seats but i know you'll have issues with the hinge and the width and the locking mechanism at the very least - it's probably do-able if you're into customizing things but unless you manage to match the proportions really well it would still look weird. the S sport seat is probably your best bet - though the S touring seat can look nice too.

Or you can always go custom with pirate, corbin, day rider (I think) or one of the many other custom seat shops

yeah, i don't think i want to go the custom route. i think it would probably be too expensive. and the touring seat on the s is cool-but i'm kind of feeling the one seater. i really like this corsa seat and that why i was asking.

That Corsa seat is kind of just a vintage equivalent of the S seat.... I think if you don't want a custom seat then the S is your only option for a modern scoot. Why don't you like the S seat when you do like the corsa? I'm just curious, because as I say they really have a lot of similarities.

As you can see from the photo the bucket is HUGE compared to a vintage seat. Add in the complications of mounting it and making it "work" turns into a custom seat.

The single S seat is really nice and would be the way to go. and it's not that bad if you ever have to take a passenger.

S seat! Easy to find, fit, and sit on. And as said above, okay for passengers.

you know, i like both the seats. i guess i just had the preference for the corsa seat because it looked more angular, more "squared off" if that makes sense.

i really like how the s seats look as well-and that was the seat that i was planning to purchase-especially now that i know it will not fit.

by the way, if anybody knows of someone looking to unload an s sport seat let me know. I'm down.
