Once they changed the Rx meds, I did much better. Stopped feeling like I was always off balance. So thanks to my cousin (who loves a challenge)
I got to try being a passenger on his new Vespa 300 & his MP3. I didn't do so well on either - but the two wheeler was worse - more for him then me.
I almost knocked us both down when he turned out of the driveway. I felt so off balance that I instinctively leaned the opposite way. So back the the garage and swapped scooters. I did well for a little while on the 3 wheeler, but then apparently I started shifting. I didn't even realize it at first, although he did. I thought/felt as though I was straight. So we made it back to his place safely although at a fairly slow speed.
So I sulked for a while, he had a few beers, then the humor started. We kept suggesting outrageous ways I may be able to be a passenger at least
without falling off or knocking the driver off too. I think by the time I left he was suggesting everything from velcroing the passenger to driver and or using a tandem parachute harness. I eventually declined all, although I got to admit visuallizing what that would look like got me laughing hysterically at times. My husband listened to all this and decided we'd both lost our minds! I don't know maybe we have - but if I don't keep trying to find ways to continue to do things as normally as possible, I think I will.
End result of experiment: We will absolutely put both of the 50s up for sale. Not going to look to trade in for a 3 wheeler.
