Well I installed my top case and seems that I picked up front end wobble, I was thinking of installing the jetting, barbell bar end weights. If you installed them can you tell me how you like the product and are the color good or dose it fades?

The bar end weights that comes with the Vespa top case are stylish and does an excellent job at eliminating that vobble. I like them so much that I'd keep them even if the top case should go.

I like the Jettin because they also provide a great attachment for my straps on my trailer. However one of them has gone to a yellow color, poor chrome job I think....
Regardless I'd buy them again. The barbell design works so well for transport!

Bar weights
One of my GTS scoots came with the HVMP weights and I have no shake at all. My newer GTS has the Vespa original ends but I have not put many miles on it yet to comnpare the two. I think I will go with the jettin because of the design feature, the 15 oz weight, and the lower price. As others have commented, the canyon dancer straps press on the buttons and I don't want to replace them .

The LX bars arent set up for a weight....there is no hardware inside them to attach. Youll need a generic weight with an expanding rubber "core" to install onto your bars. Those are available aftermarket from numerous sources.

The GT+ bars are designed for weights, the ET/LX bars aren't, so a universal weight is in order.

The most recent poster Teamtexas' avatar lists an LX150, which won't accept the GT styled weights...assuming they are asking about adding weights to an LX, since they mentioned cutting the end of the grip off.

Needs something like this for an LX:

Yes Gogo i'm talking about adding weights to a LX150. I just added a top box and I'm not sure if its going to cause wobble or not. Does the one from ScooterWest flare out to fit a hollow handle?

Does any one have pictures of the LX handle bars with the grips removed?

Hi Dan I have given you a bum steer on these weights. I need to read the posts better. I gave a link to GTS 250 bar ends instead of LX. Sorry mate. They are totally different

Dan, we had topcases on both our former ET4s and never had a wobble.

Come to think of it, I dont recall ever hearing of anyone with an ET or an LX series having an issue with it. Maybe you have, or someone else on MV has?

Perhaps an over abundance of caution on your part based on the many wobble stories pertinent to the GT/GTS series scooters, but dont think the 2 series share the same penchant for it.

You may want to do some due diligence and/or simply try the trunk first without cutting your grips to add some weights which may prove to be not neccesary.

My .02 and good luck either way.

We had a topcase on the ET 4 - my neighbor who bought it from us still does. Never a wobble during the 2.5 years we owned it or the 1.5 since my neighbor has had it.
