I switched over to R last night, I try to fill it up right after usually but I was running late this morning. This arvo I had to take a 15 min highway trip to the dentist and then impulsively decided to take the scenic route home through the hills and cane fields.
Tonight after indoor soccer I got about a k down the road and she spluttered to a halt. I perfected a pushing method where you put your right foot on the left floor board and push "scooter" style with your left leg, right thigh is on the bench seat. When your left leg needs a break you can do a swift change to the other but cheek and stat pushing with your right leg without stopping. beware, I hung up my leg on the kickstarter twice, that was enough, swing a lil wider with your right leg.
I found this method to be quite a bit faster and more energy efficent that the old fashioned walk next to the bike.
Might not work for you shorties, I'm 6"3. Plus I was on a flat smooth road.

How do you guys push your bike, in mechanical and forgetting to fill up situations??

That way works unless you're going up hill.

Going up hill I just grab both bar ends and push (I'm tall). If you're short you may have to grab one bar and then grab the rear of the seat.

Or call a friend with a truck/gas.

Top Tip

Save fuel by pushing your scooter to your destination. Invariably passers-by will think you've broken down and help. Clown emoticon
