My P project is pretty much squared away so I'm ready to dive into the 100 Sport.

Not sure what direction I want to take this bike as it's "my wifes". I am going to steer her in certain directions and just plain do some stuff without her knowing. 8)

Basically what I want to build is a smallframe that will be nice and zippy around town, but can also be respectable on longer distance "rally type" rides. Not a balls out racer.

I plan to keep the 19/19 carb but perhaps upgrade the air filter to the Polini.

Throw a kit on that bitch. DR 130? Polini? Malossi? I'm not afraid of case matching, porting and polishing, etc - but only if it's necessary for the bike I want.

Transmission - Upgrade to a 4 speed? That's kind of costly (I think) Or can I throw in a new 3 gear combo that will pull the bike in the direction I want?

Thanks - JW

The girl I'm doing has a 66 Allstate smallframe with a DR 130 or 135 kit (not up to speed on smallies since they're hard for me to ride) and a 19/19 carb with a 4 speed.

It's faster than her LX150 and has had no porting work done, just slapped on. It still has the 6v points system.

Riding it two up it's still quite fast enough for the city (me 180lbs, her 105lbs). With just her (or just me) it's a nice peppy runner.

Be even more so if it were upgraded with a Parmakit and 12v.

Me + Smallframe = Monkey + fuck + football:

if it is running right now, you should leave it together until the winter comes. do not tear a running bike down during riding season.

i actually really like the 100 sport 3 speed. unless the gears are mangled, i would say don't blow cash on getting the 4 speed. i've got the 4 speed and kinda wish i had the 3 speed. the ratios on the 4 speed with a kitted engine are kinda just a little too narrow. i think the 3 speed lends itself better to a more powerful mill. you'll love 2nd gear on that thing with a kit.

As I said in our PM, with my setup, the 100 Sport's second gear is like everything you get out of a Vino 50's full powerband, and third is overdrive. Its quite fun for what it is.

you can...you can start from a dead stop in 2nd and by the time you have to upshift, you're f*cking flying.
