So I love my coffee! As I enjoy sitting and drinking my cup of joe, this is not always possible. My new Vespa has NO place for my coffee to travel with me Crying or Very sad emoticon Now I did see on a Harley a drink holder mounted on it....yes a dream to the coffee/2 wheeler lover! Needless to say I have been on line, looked at soundspeed.com and the liquid caddy.com. However, the Prima drink holder does not look sturdy enough, but the liquid caddy is a possiblity. The concern here is that it says it is for an ATV Does anyone out there have some helpful hints, ideas that could help me? Could I be missing a solution to this issue(it may just be my problem ) could get a compatible one through a Vespa dealership. I greatly appreciate all input.

I like my coffee before work, believe me - after trying a few options this one works best; http://www.corazzo.net/node/276 - throw it on your hook and you good to go, easy and no spills.
stay away from the suction cup thingy's!

Yes the S has a hook, as mine does not! Wonder if I could get one put on it! YES, the suction just does not bring me confidence that I would not wear my coffee opposed to drinking it.

If you have a stock seat, there is a hook that slides out at the front of the seat.

oops, thought the LX had a hook - had an LX a few years ago and had one off the seat? Anyways, you can pick up a hook and add it to your ride. If you don't have one, they come in handy for more than carrying coffee. Good luck with the hook!
the suctions work good out of the box, just a few weeks later they FAIL.

im presuming you want to mount the cup holder and then take a sip of coffee whenever you stop at a red light or something?

Is it just me or does that sound like a bad (and possibly illegal) idea??!

I wonder how this would work on long rides over bumps and hills, through rough terrain. Looks like it would slosh back and forth, still wondering if I should keep searching for the that mounts on the handle, as long as it would not interfer with anything.

I tried it once. After I picked up broken drink holder and insulated coffee mug from the street, I started just carrying a one pint stainless steel thermos in my top case and drinking the coffee when I get to work.

LOL not my forthought, but a possibility Laughing emoticon Besides here in Texas you can sit at a light for 5 minutes. I just want security where I am not spilling coffee on my nice ride.

I'm crazy about my coffee as well and spent some money on a fancy-pants cup holder with swivel (for the deep leans around corners). The cup holder comes with suction cup attachment (tried on the glovebox), hard-mount attachment (tried on the rack in the back), and a velcro attachment (didn't use).

Here are the results... Coffee gets everywhere! Even with the green pour-hole coveer sticks that Starbucks gives. Even with a sticker over the tiny vent hole.

The only thing that works is getting a tumbler that closes shut and carrying it in your pet warmer (or backpack, messenger bag, etc.).

I tried everything and ended up with a lot of coffee on my slacks and scooter.

ROFL emoticon I like the PSA crashtest.

the Corazzo holder goes with the flow of the scooter and I haven't splashed a drop anywhere - has worked out really well for me!

I just stuff a paper coffee cup - with lid, natürlich - in the little recess thing that I have instead of a glovebox. Stays put, although it's on a slight angle and the floor board of my scooter is more brown than orange. Still, it'll wash off...sometime!

I like to sip coffee on the way to work in the morning. More on the straights than in the turns really

The suction cup thingy worked fine for me all summer....until someone ripped it off about a month ago. I don't like to drink and drive, but I like to bring my home brewed coffee to work. I think I'll try the hook method next.

The best drink holder I've seen was at Vespa Soho in NYC. I don't remember the manufacturer but it had a hanging strap that fit into the glove box door and was held in place when you shut the door. It was insulated and could hold a water bottle as well. As I recall, the price on it was around 30 bucks.

Forget the suction cup ones. I too have been covered in coffee when they failed big time. I have a cup made by contigo which has on the lower part of the handle a carbiner type opening so you can hang it from most anything without spilling. Has a great screw top that is airtight. I'll see if i can find a pic of it. Got mine a Target for about 20 bucks.

I have the Prima suction cup coffee holder,
But found the coffee kept spilling when the cup lid nudged the baggage hook,
I've since lowered the Prima cup holder and my Stalebucks coffee doesn't spill anymore.
(Also helps if you install the secret drink hole plugger)

I have a RAM mount cup holder as well,
But it's too complicated, You need a rubber band to hold the cup in the holder.

I have one of the suction cup thingies to hold my drinks when running to lunch. I have not used it for coffee cups as I normally bring my stainless one from home and it sits in my lunch cooler's water bottle pocket on the center of the footboards.

I placed the suction cup drink holder on the left side rear panel so if the suction cup fails, it spills onto the road and not on my feet/lunch/floorboard. I wear a FF modular helmet so I am not looking to drink and ride. If I do want to drink and ride, I wear my water bladder backpack.

I picked up the suction cup drink holder at the local boat shop, it was only $7.00 and came in several different colors. Be sure you wet the suction cup before slicking it to a clean scoot side panel. I then pull on the webbing several times, with increasing force, to work out as many of the bubbles form under the suction cup.
